Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This position is responsible for performing a variety of duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. The Maintenance Technician will oversee preventative and routine maintenance functions for all equipment and support systems in the manufacturing facilities. Experience with resin and foam is preferred, and plastic experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair production and facility equipment.
  • Perform preventative and routine maintenance on all equipment and support systems.
  • Ensure efficient operation of manufacturing facilities.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and welding techniques.
  • Experience with industrial maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of PLC and electrical systems.
  • Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience in preventive maintenance.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Familiarity with conveyor systems.
  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Skills in welding (TIG, MIG, ARC).
  • Experience with conduit installation (EMT, PVC, IMC).
  • Metal fabrication expertise.
  • Experience in equipment installation and commissioning.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety and compliance.

Work Environment

The work environment involves working night shifts from Sunday to Thursday (11pm - 7:30am) or evening shifts from Monday to Friday (3pm - 11:30pm). The role requires working with various tools and equipment in a manufacturing setting, adhering to safety and compliance standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Athens, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
