About the Role:
Pearson Virtual Schools (PVS) is hiring seasonal, temporary team members to support Connections Academy, a leading online public-school program serving students and families nationwide. We are hiring customer-facing associates to support our Enrollment Experience teams. You will join our team for our peak hiring season, handling new and returning student placement supported by phone calls, email, and process-driven workflows to support enrollment goals.
This role is ideal for individuals who are skilled at problem-solving, enjoy helping customers navigate important decisions, and thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. The Student Placement Associate will support the academic placement life cycle for students from initial course placement through returning student placement or schedule changes. This position will report to the Supervisor of New Student Placement as part of the Enrollment Operations Enablement department.
This position is intended to support families in Eastern Standard Time or Central Standard Time. The standard work hours for this position are Monday - Friday 9 am to 6 pm EST.
You will:
Review academic and supporting documentation to build a thorough academic picture and ensure accurate course placement
Create initial student schedules based on age and available information or triages to school-based staff for additional review
Complete placement and schedule change requests for enrolled students
Assist with account creation for Supplemental Instructional Support Programs and enrollment into requested Clubs & Activities
Manage daily workflow to ensure completeness and compliance to expected service levels, including (but not limited to):
Reviewing student accounts holistically to be able to speak to outstanding tasks or recommended actions to ensure the continuing student's success;
Serving as a subject matter expert for a group of schools, knowing intimately operational differences between the schools which drive operational processes;
Organizing and completing assigned workflows to ensure effective time management, data integrity, efficient communication, and student retention;
Maintain student accounts and records, documenting and logging information into the EMS accurately;
Protect the privacy of student account information through compliance with federal student privacy law (Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA))
You are:
Flexible, adaptive, and able to positively and efficiently support caretakers and students
Able to take direction quickly and learn new procedures, processes, and products
Able to use a variety of customer service and sales tools, software, and systems to effectively manage customer interactions
Skilled at multi-tasking in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Reliable, professional, and empathetic
Comfortable working remotely and independently in a structured environment
Believe in a culture of continuous improvement supporting enrollment goals
Able to adhere to company attendance policy and work flexible hours between 9am-6pm Eastern Time.
You have :
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Previous experience in education or academic advising preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfort using Windows computer/operating system
Prior experience working in multiple EMS/SIS/Enrollment platforms strongly preferred
Familiarity with education and the public-school system a strong plus
Remote experience preferred

Compensation :
