Overview
We are seeking experienced Data Center Fiber Splicing Technicians (Tech II and above) to support an active data center project in Atlanta, GA. This role is intended for technicians with hands‑on fiber splicing experience. Entry‑level cable pullers or Tech I candidates will not be considered.
Technicians will support fiber and structured cabling work in a fast‑paced data center environment while adhering to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform fiber splicing in a data center environment (single‑mode and/or multi‑mode)
- Pull, route, dress, and label Cat5e/Cat6 cabling according to TIA/EIA standards
- Terminate RJ45 connectors and patch panels as required
- Perform telecom punch‑downs (110/66 blocks)
- Support cable testing using tools such as Fluke and EXFO
- Assist with proper fiber cable handling, routing, and dressing
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety protocols
- Take direction from experienced technicians and site supervisors
Required Qualifications
- Proven fiber splicing experience (required)
- Tech II level or higher structured cabling experience
- Strong experience in structured cabling systems
- Experience with terminations and punch‑downs
- Must not have worked in this specific data center within the last 6 months
- OSHA 10 certification required prior to start date
- Ability to work extended shifts and maintain reliable attendance
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- Telecommunications experience
- Data center structured cabling projects
- Copper and fiber cable installation
Work Environment
- Indoor data center construction environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and climbing
- Regular lifting of up to 50 lbs
- Working from ladders up to 20 feet
- Moderate noise levels
- Occasional work in tight or confined spaces
- Strict adherence to safety and attendance policies

This is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
