What We Do/Project
This position is ideal for someone who loves and understands visual storytelling, and can translate the Adult Swim brand into compelling video and design art pieces for social media. You will work with the Art Director to develop content to reach our fans on Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, etc. A portfolio or social media account with at least 8-10 examples of relevant work is required for consideration.
Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the Role
• Develop and present ideas for graphics and animated content in line with the Adult Swim brand
• Conceptualize and execute in multiple art styles: illustrations, animations, motion graphics
• Create original and IP-based content optimized for social media
• Absorb analytics/insights to inform creative decisions
• Follow brand guidelines and ethos, team work flows and processes
• Collaborate with the wider social media team
Must Have Skills / Requirements
1) Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Affects Adobe Animate, etc.)

2) 3D Animation software experience (Blender, Maya, etc.)
a. 3+ years
3) Animation and illustration experience
a. 3+ years; We need a candidate who create visuals from sketching to animation.
Nice to Have Skills / Preferred Requirements
1) Typography/Illustration skills
2) Compositing/Rotoscoping skills
3) Proficiency in 3D programs like Blender
4) Experience working with adult animation content
5) Knowledge of Adult Swim programs
6) Knowledge of topics that are relevant to our fans - online culture, animation, gaming, anime
Soft Skills:
1) Ability to create multiple art styles
2) Dialed into culture and what's next in content and storytelling
3) Efficiently and effectively present concepts, and execute projects from start to finish
4) Ability to take input and feedback from multiple sources
5) Ability to discern between projects that require a direct translation of provided art direction, and others that have room for creative interpretation
6) Self-starter who proactively follow up and follow through with projects without heavy direction
7) Can handle a very fast-paced environment with last minute changes
8) Excellent time management skills in order to meet tight turnarounds
Technology Requirements:
1) Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Affects and other Adobe programs
2) Fluency of social media platforms and familiarity with emerging and current online communities (Reddit, Discord)
3) Technical knowledge of social media platforms specs and file delivery formats
4) Toon Boom (or other 2D Animation Tools)
5) Blender (or other 3D Animation Tools)
