Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job DescriptionA Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for transforming prototypes into fully functional products. This role involves developing comprehensive plans that include tooling, work instructions, processes, equipment, and the Technical Data Package (TdP). The Manufacturing Engineer collaborates closely with Quality Engineering and the supply chain to ensure all aspects of production are aligned.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement manufacturing plans for new products.
- Create and maintain tooling, work instructions, processes, and equipment specifications.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering and supply chain teams to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
- Release products into production and oversee their integration into the manufacturing system.
- Provide support to production technicians, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources for efficient production.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency with CAD software, PLM, and ERP systems such as NetSuite or Oracle.
- Experience in a production environment supporting a manufacturing engineering role.
- Project management skills.
- Experience in bringing a product from initial design through production phases.
- 4+ years of professional experience, relevant co-op or internship experience may be considered.
- A degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering is highly preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and wear many hats.
- Experience in high production environments is beneficial.
- Strong data management skills.
Work Environment
Work is 100% onsite, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Utilize a project tracker to manage tasks divided by sub-assemblies, including work orders, BOM restructuring, and integrating changes from engineering. Participate in bi-weekly round table meetings with all manufacturing engineers and one-on-one meetings based on experience levels. Manage ERP transition work and ensure processes are updated and aligned with the supply chain. Goals are tracked in the system with defined milestones at 30, 60, and 90 days, as well as six months.
