Join our dynamic team in the role of Clinical Research Assistant, where you will play a vital part in facilitating groundbreaking research aimed at improving future health outcomes for all. Your work will involve engaging with potential participants, supporting clinical trial processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, all while contributing to advancements in medical science.
Responsibilities- Participate in recruitment and pre-screening events, which may occur at various locations.
- Assist with the preparation of outreach materials for potential participants by reviewing medical records, study charts, and the subject database.
- Conduct phone screenings to recruit new participants.
- Request medical records for potential and current research participants.
- Schedule visits with participants and provide contact reminders.
- Obtain informed consent according to SOPs, under the direction of the Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC).
- Complete visit procedures as required by protocol, under the direction of the CRC.
- Collect, process, and ship specimens as directed by protocol, under the CRC's guidance.
- Record data accurately and enter in real-time on paper or electronic source documents.
- Request study participant payments.
- Update all applicable internal trackers and online recruitment systems.
- Assist with query resolution and perform administrative tasks such as copying, scanning, filing, mailing, and emailing.
- Maintain all site logs and assist with inventory and ordering of equipment and supplies.
- Ensure adherence to FDA regulations and ICH guidelines in all aspects of conducting clinical trials.
- Maintain effective relationships with study participants and research personnel.
- Interact professionally with patients, participants, sponsor representatives, investigators, and internal personnel.
- Communicate clearly in both verbal and written forms.
- Perform other assigned duties, representative of the nature and level of work.
- Minimum of 1-year recent working experience as a Medical Assistant, EMT, LPN, Clinical Research Assistant, or Phlebotomist.
- Phlebotomy experience is required; however, certification is not necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills and a high degree of professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- A working knowledge of medical and research terminology.
- Familiarity with federal regulations and Good Clinical Practices (GCP).
- Ability and willingness to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with the ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
- Commitment to team and site goals.
- High level of self-motivation and energy.
- An optimistic, “can do” attitude.
- Some Clinical Research experience is preferred.
This position is based in an on-site clinic environment, where you will collaborate with a dedicated team to bring world-class research and health services directly into communities. The work setting requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced atmosphere.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Dalton, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
