Job Description

The Machine Operator (Orbital Welding) is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining orbital welding equipment to produce high-quality welds on tubing, piping, and related components. This role ensures compliance with engineering drawings, welding procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate orbital welding equipment efficiently.
• Maintain and troubleshoot welding machinery to ensure smooth operations.
• Produce welds on tubing and piping according to engineering specifications.
• Adhere to safety standards and quality requirements at all times.
• Ensure compliance with welding procedures and engineering drawings.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in machine operation, including the use of measuring tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding procedures.
• Knowledge of stainless-steel tubing/piping and basic welding principles.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use basic inspection tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with calipers, micrometers, and reading a tape measure.
• Preferred: Welding certifications or experience in high purity/regulated industries.

Work Environment

Work in a structured environment utilizing advanced orbital welding equipment. Interviews are conducted onsite, offering flexible times between 8am-11am or 1pm-3pm, lasting approximately 30-45 minutes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Powder Springs, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
