Job Title: Appliance Repair - Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician with general electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience to support daily operations. This role focuses on maintaining and repairing production and facility equipment, responding to maintenance calls, and assisting with preventive maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate has at least two years of hands-on maintenance experience or a related technical education and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Shift: Overnight | 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Pay: $22–$29 per hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
• Respond to maintenance calls during production hours
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical and mechanical issues
• Record daily meter readings, boiler chemistry, and sanitation information
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Assist with basic training of new employees on proper equipment operation
• Follow all safety, quality, and sanitation standards
Required Skills & Experience
• 2 years of maintenance experience or technical education equivalent
• Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read simple schematics or blueprints
• Familiarity with common maintenance equipment such as conveyors, bearings, chains, belts, pumps, valves, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Comfortable assisting with plumbing or HVAC-related tasks as needed
• Basic exposure to PLCs or control systems preferred, but not required
• Ability to use hand and power tools (own tools preferred)
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Work Environment
This role is based in a production facility handling hospital and healthcare linens. The environment may be dirty or messy at times and involves exposure to waste materials. Maintaining cleanliness and following sanitation procedures is a key part of the job.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Quitman, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $29.00/hr.
