The Security Technician is responsible for the installation maintenance, and repair of security alarm systems, access control systems, and related low-voltage infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Drill and route wiring through walls, ceilings, floors, and other structures.
  • Feed and terminate cables through access points and secure them using appropriate methods.
  • Install, maintain, and repair security systems, alarm devices, and access control equipment based on blueprints and building plans.
  • Mount an connect control panels, sensors, cameras, and wiring.
  • Install raceways and conduits; secure wiring to framing.
  • Test and troubleshoot circuits, sensors, and system components.
  • Program keypads, test backup batteries, and verify system functionality.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and basic network issues.
  • Understand and assign IPv4 addresses to devices.
  • Complete projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, professionalism, and customer service.
  • Submit required documentation promptly.
  • Follow all safety protocols and project-specific requirements.
