Job Title: Staff Industrial Hygienist


Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Staff Industrial Hygienist for our expanding Asbestos, Lead, and Industrial Hygiene practice in our Savannah, GA office. Responsibilities

  • Prepare proposals and conduct in-depth field investigations and write associated reports under senior management guidance.
  • Lead projects and guide other staff personnel across a variety of local and national projects.
  • Study for and obtain job-related certifications.
  • Lead and participate in asbestos, mold, lead, and other industrial hygiene surveys.
  • Conduct indoor air quality investigations.
  • Oversee asbestos, mold, lead, and industrial hygiene projects.
  • Perform occupation health exposure assessments.
  • Prepare and deliver technical reports.
  • Conduct tasks related to project monitoring, asbestos/lead inspections, indoor air quality/mold assessments, and other project assignments.
  • Analyze laboratory data and prepare draft reports for senior management review.
  • Maintain consistent communication of project progress with senior management from start to finish.
  • Prioritize employee safety both in-house and on-site, in accordance with corporate policies.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related science field.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • AHERA-Certified Asbestos Building Inspector and South Carolina Asbestos Building Inspector License.
  • Phase Contrast Microscopy Sample Analysis experience.
  • AHERA-Certified Asbestos Building Management Planner and Project Designer.
  • Radon Professional Certification.

Work Environment

Work is conducted Monday through Friday, both in the office and out in the field on various projects. Standard hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, though they may vary based on project demands and report completion.
