Job Description
Join our team as a Service Engineer where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing high-quality plastic manufacturing machinery. These machines are vital in producing durable plastic products such as hand sanitizer and soap bottles. Your primary focus will be on servicing these machines locally, ensuring their optimal performance through routine preventative maintenance, check-ins, and necessary repairs.
Responsibilities
- Validate machinery and molds.
- Diagnose and repair existing machinery and molds in the field.
- Exercise independent discretion in problem-solving.
- Address machine and mold issues using reference materials, manuals, drawings, and procedures.
- Provide troubleshooting and telephone support to customers.
- Assist technical service centers with molding trials, sampling, and shipping preparation for machines, molds, and ancillary equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities.
- Strong customer service skills, essential for hosting clients in the facility.
- Proficient troubleshooting abilities for injection mold machines.
- Mechanical and electronics expertise.
- An engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME) or Electrical Engineering (EE) is required.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Adobe.
- Ability to read and understand operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Familiarity with digital and analog circuits, 3D printing, 3D molding, and additive manufacturing.
- Ability to crawl and climb around large machines, indicating a physically demanding role.
- Strong emphasis on attendance and punctuality.
This position requires 100% onsite presence for servicing and repairing machines. The role involves crawling and climbing around large machinery. The work environment values strong customer service skills as hosting clients is a part of the facility's operations. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
