Job Title: Field/Diesel Mechanic - Heavy Equipment Repair
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Mechanic to join our team, specializing in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and vehicles at construction job sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with yellow paint equipment such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, and others. This role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, electrical systems, and engines. Additionally, the technician will perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical systems, and engines.
- Perform repairs and testing to ensure issues are resolved effectively.
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire repairs, belt changes, and more.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy equipment repair.
- Proven experience with yellow paint equipment (Caterpillar, Komatsu, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of welding and fabricating is a plus.
- Certifications in the areas of engine repair, hydraulics, or electric are helpful.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
