Business Systems Analyst – Digital Banking Systems
Location: Honolulu, HI (Hybrid – 2–3 days on-site as needed)
At TEKsystems we are seeking a seasoned Business Analyst with a minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting client-server or SaaS applications, particularly within Digital Banking platforms such as Online Banking, Mobile Banking, and Online Account Opening. This role serves as the primary liaison for day-to-day operations, high-severity issue resolution, and production analytics. The ideal candidate will have strong operational BA experience, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of digital banking systems. Experience with or knowledge of ERP, CRM, or similar software systems may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support (70%)
- Act as the subject matter expert for Digital Banking Systems (e.g., Q2 platform).
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for high-priority production issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and business units to resolve issues.
- Maintain system interfaces and data integrations.
- Update system parameters for new products, services, and security configurations.
- Provide Tier 3 support and participate in 24x7 on-call rotation.
- Escalate and manage production issues until resolution.
- Test system releases and track issues prior to production deployment.
- Maintain and update application documentation and training materials.
- Conduct internal training sessions and mentor junior staff.
- Ensure systems comply with regulatory guidelines and audit recommendations.
Project Support (15%)
- Approve business requirements and lead user acceptance testing.
- Understand and support new releases and services.
- Implement minor configuration changes and manage smaller projects.
- Coordinate transition of new functionality from implementation to operations.
Analytics & Reporting (15%)
- Run reports and analyze data to identify patterns, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Provide insights to product management and business units for decision-making.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of Business Analyst experience supporting client-server or SaaS applications.
- Strong operational BA experience in requirement gathering and documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with digital banking systems (Q2) preferred.
- Proven ability to lead issue resolution and cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with compliance, audit processes, and risk assessments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PMO processes and project coordination.
- Exposure to requirement gathering frameworks and tools.
- Prior experience in financial services or banking environments.
