Job Description

This position involves preparing, assisting, and cleaning various work areas that may include hazardous material. You will be expected to work in all types of weather and temperatures, ensuring the site is maintained and safe. The role requires flexibility with working hours as it includes Monday to Friday and some weekends from 5:45/6:45 AM to 3:00/4:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and clean work areas that may involve hazardous materials.
• Assist in site clean-up and moving materials.
• Conduct fire watch duties alongside the welding crew.
• Perform tasks requiring lifting of 50+ lbs.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and site regulations.

Essential Skills

• Experience in painting, mechanics, and understanding metal compositions.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• US citizenship documentation is required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• General labor skills including cleaning and janitorial tasks.
• Familiarity with site clean-up procedures.
• Ability to work with steel/composite toe boots and work pants (jeans are acceptable).

Work Environment

The role involves working in a ship support capacity, often outdoors in varying weather conditions. You will be part of a machine shop type environment, requiring appropriate safety gear including steel/composite toe boots. The job offers a mix of physical labor and technical tasks, providing a diverse and engaging work experience.

This is a Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
