Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepare, season, and cook meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) according to standardized recipes, ensuring proper temperature, taste, and texture.
• Dietary Adherence: Prepare special meals based on patient nutritional needs, allergies, or therapeutic diets (e.g., low-sodium, soft food) in collaboration with dietitians.
• Safety and Sanitation: Maintain a clean, sanitary work area, storing food properly and following health code regulations to prevent foodborne illness.
• Production Management: Review menus and production sheets to determine food quantities, monitor temperatures, and ensure meals are ready for service on time.
• Inventory and Equipment: Monitor ingredient freshness, maintain inventory, and operate/clean kitchen equipment safely.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lihue, HI.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.50/hr.
