Machine Operator

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including operating slitter machinery, assembly, labeling, quality control, and packaging. You may be required to perform minor set-up and operate equipment as needed.

• Operate slitter machinery efficiently and safely.
• Perform assembly and labeling tasks as required.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure product standards are met.
• Package products according to specifications.
• Participate in minor equipment set-up and operation.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow.

• At least 6 months of prior warehouse experience or equivalent experience.
• Manual dexterity and good coordination.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.

• Experience in machine operation, packaging, assembly, and material handling.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Work in a clean environment with teams of 2-4 individuals. Dress code includes jeans or work pants, excluding leggings and sweatpants. Personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, nitrile gloves, and cut-resistant gloves are mandatory, with contractors supplying their own steel toe boots. Work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 5:00am to 3:30pm, with potential for overtime based on volume.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ames, IA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
