Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Controller responsible for the preparation of monthly financial forecasts and weekly forecast updates. This role involves analyzing financial, operational, and commercial results, preparing monthly and quarterly reporting packages for senior management, and coordinating month-end closing and reporting, including account reconciliations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial forecasts and weekly forecast updates.
- Analyze financial, operational, and commercial results.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for senior management.
- Coordinate month-end closing and reporting, including account reconciliations.
- Provide capital appropriation support.
- Lead analysis of plant spending and manage spend management systems.
- Track and report cost savings projects.
- Conduct financial analysis and develop processes for special projects as required.
- Complete Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for internal controls.
- Provide decision support functions such as expense analyses and capital economic justifications.
- Oversee and guide process improvements and cost reduction initiatives in satellite locations and Automotive Mix Mill flow paths.
- Provide leadership, training, and development for talent within the Finance Team.
Essential Skills
- Expertise in financial reporting and financial statements.
- Proficiency in accounting and month-end processes.
- Experience in forecasting and manufacturing operations.
- B.S. degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
- 7+ years of experience in the finance function of a publicly traded corporation with increasingly responsible leadership roles.
- Manufacturing and cost accounting experience.
- Leadership in plant-wide process improvements such as inventory reductions, forecast accuracy improvement, and cost reductions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- MBA is a plus.
- More than five years of Finance/Accounting experience.
- Experience with querying databases.
- Experience with cost accounting.
Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite, requiring work out of an office and the flexibility to go on the shop floor when necessary.
Compensation:$130000
