Job Description

Begin each morning with safety protocols and warm-up exercises. Review daily orders on the board and use forklifts to pick parts throughout the warehouse using a labeling system and RF scan gun. You will handle oversized products ranging from equipment tires to animal nutrients, and load and unload production onto truck beds. This role requires the ability to lift up to 65 lbs and work closely with supervisors to resolve any task concerns. Accurate sorting, labeling, and safe storage of picked products in containers or on pallets, along with maintaining cleanliness by sweeping as needed, are essential duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to pick parts using labeling systems and RF scan guns.
• Handle oversized products and load/unload them onto truck beds.
• Lift up to 65 lbs regularly.
• Work closely with supervisors to address task concerns.
• Sort, label, and safely store picked products.
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area.

Essential Skills

• Basic math skills
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs
• 6+ months of forklift experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with warehouse and production environments
• Familiarity with RF scanners and labeling systems

Work Environment

The work takes place in a large warehouse in Cedar Falls, Iowa, known for its fast-paced and densely packed environment. The facility serves a wide range of industries including food and beverage, agricultural, and more. The environment can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, and it is dusty due to the handling of animal feed. Shifts include 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm, 2nd shift from 2pm to 10:30pm, 3rd shift from 10pm to 6:30am, and a weekend shift from 7am to 5:30pm. Steel-toed boots, jeans or shorts (khaki/tan/denim), and a t-shirt or long sleeves are required attire.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Falls, IA.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
