Immediate Hirring For Wire Assembly Technician
Job Description
Join a dynamic team as a Wire Assembly Technician, where you will be responsible for assembling and preparing wire products by stripping, pulling, and coiling wires, and ensuring all processes adhere to quality standards. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to follow precise work instructions.
Responsibilities
- Strip, pull, and coil wires that are up to 15-16 feet long.
- Attach connectors and insulators to wires.
- Run wires through machines to fasten clamps on the ends, then kit the wires.
- Ensure all work order tickets remain with raw components until parts are fully utilized.
- Dispose of all tickets once assemblies are placed in Quality Assurance (QA).
- Put away extra parts and clean up after completing build work orders; return parts to designated carts with pick tickets.
- Double-check orders for quantity and quality before taking them to QA.
- Print labels and navigate customer apps menu, with QA providing training.
- Report any damaged or malfunctioning tooling immediately.
- Perform end-of-day cleanup duties.
- Follow work instructions as displayed on the login page and seek clarification when needed.
- Maintain the Excel control plan work instructions alongside login activities.
Essential Skills
- Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Capability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Proficiency in kitting and assembly tasks.
- General labor and production skills.
- Entry-level production experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Stand on feet for 8+ hours a day.
- Basic computer literacy, including navigating tablets, opening files, and reading emails.
- Pass a mechanical test administered during the interview.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, temperature-controlled warehouse with a relaxed atmosphere. The company manufactures components for various commodities, including custom, mechanical, and electrical components. Dress code includes jeans or shorts without holes and a provided t-shirt, transitioning to company shirts after 30 days, with casual Fridays.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.00/hr.
