Forklift Operator – First Shift | Now Hiring

Location: Davenport, Iowa

Shift: First Shift 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay: Weekly pay + full benefits

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our growing team at a brand-new facility. In this role, you will operate industrial forklifts and reach trucks to complete a variety of material handling tasks. Your work will ensure accurate, efficient, and safe receiving, shipping, and movement of materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely identify, pick, and transport requested materials to and from designated areas.
• Review production schedules and shipping orders to move raw materials, equipment, and processing items as needed.
• Load materials into machines and deliver products based on loading capacity and schedule.
• Secure and protect loads using strapping and wrapping materials; remove materials and dispose of waste following safety guidelines.
• Adhere to all company safety procedures and food safety policies.
• Report material or transportation issues to your supervisor promptly.
• Complete SAP-related transactions and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Perform RF scanning tasks and print/label SAP tags correctly.
• Support production lines as needed and assist with physical inventory counts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Proven ability to safely operate reach trucks and other logistics equipment.
• Experience driving High Lift, Stand-Up, Sit-Down, Walkies, and Walkie Rider forklifts.
• Proficiency with RF scan guns.
• Basic experience with SAP.
• Strong ability to maneuver lifts in tight or busy areas.
• Basic math, reading, and communication skills.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, pallet jack operation, unloading, order picking, and warehouse material handling.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, IA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
