Quality Technician

Quality Technician – 1st Shift $19/HR

Join a growing team in a brand‑new food production facility where quality, safety, and consistency are top priorities. We’re seeking a detail‑oriented Quality Technician to support inspection, measurement, and documentation tasks that ensure products meet regulatory and customer standards.

What You’ll Do

• Inspect fresh meat to verify quality and wholesomeness
• Monitor and record weights and temperatures of cooked meat products
• Ensure metal detectors on the production line operate correctly
• Verify case weights, piece counts, temperatures, and printed information (e.g., code dates, product codes)
• Collect, label, and document samples for lab analysis and sensory evaluations
• Hold questionable or non‑conforming products for further review
• Follow HACCP regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and facility policies
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment
• Document quality concerns and assist in corrective action processes
• Support special assignments as needed
• Help prevent non‑conforming products from reaching customers

What You Bring

• Experience in inspection, food manufacturing, quality control/assurance, or related fields
• Basic math skills and comfort with data entry and electronic recordkeeping
• Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
• Dependability, including willingness to work weekends or overtime as needed
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
• Clear verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in food manufacturing, food service, or retail operations

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, Iowa.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
