Job Description

The role involves the design and layout of power plant sites, microgrids, and power distribution systems with medium and low voltage systems, switchgear, and motor control centers. Responsibilities include computer modeling and analysis of electrical systems, designing schematic and wiring diagrams, and preparing specifications for equipment and systems. Additional duties include report preparation, determining code requirements, and performing and reviewing design computations. The role demands coordination of technical efforts within discipline areas, managing design budgets and schedules, developing engineering drawings and specifications, performing and checking engineering calculations, sizing, selecting, and specifying electrical equipment, and coordinating information with vendors. Field site visits for projects are required.


Responsibilities

  • Design and layout power plant sites, microgrids, and power distribution systems.
  • Conduct computer modeling and analysis of electrical systems.
  • Design schematic and wiring diagrams; prepare specifications for equipment and systems.
  • Prepare reports, determine code requirements, and perform design computations.
  • Coordinate technical efforts within discipline areas.
  • Manage design budgets and schedules.
  • Develop engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform and check engineering calculations.
  • Size, select, and specify electrical equipment; coordinate with vendors.
  • Conduct project field site visits.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Registration.
  • 10+ years of relevant electrical design experience.
  • Proficiency with ETAP, SKM, or similar electrical modeling software.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to collaborate.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving client, project, and industry needs.
