Travel: Partial travel required (Cedar Rapids & Indiana Projects)
*Overview: We are seeking motivated Cable Technicians to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects in data centers, commercial sites, and multi-family developments. Candidates should have experience or aptitude in low-voltage cabling and be open to partial travel to support projects across the region.
*Key Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, and test CAT6 and fiber optic cabling
- Dress and organize cables along trays and racks for clean, professional finish
- Assist with installation of access control systems, CCTV, and other low-voltage systems
- Read and interpret blueprints and project documents to determine cable routing and device placement
- Operate lifts safely to access overhead cable trays and mounting areas
- Travel to regional job sites as needed to support project demands
- Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with company procedures
*Essential Skills & Experience
- 1+ year of experience in cabling, construction, or low-voltage installation preferred
- Ability to use hand and power tools (impact drill, wire strippers, sawzall, etc.)
- Familiarity with cable testing equipment such as Fluke analyzers
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow blueprints
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for projects
- Able to pass drug and back ground check (Must have clean record)

- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and working at heights

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
