Job Title: Quality Technician

Job Description

As a Quality Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring product quality by performing audits on the production floor, conducting and documenting test procedures, and supporting specification reviews. Your work will involve building and installing test fixtures, using measurement tools to verify parts, and collaborating with Quality Engineers and other teams to resolve quality issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform product audits on the production floor.
• Support specification reviews and communicate quality requirements.
• Conduct and document test procedures, including air, water, and structural testing.
• Build and install test fixtures and prototypes.
• Use measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers to verify parts.
• Partner with Quality Engineers, Operations, and OPD teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain quality documentation and standard work instructions.
• Assist with calibration and care of quality/test equipment.
• Attend daily shift debriefs and contribute to continuous improvement activities.

Essential Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Technical degree or related education preferred.
• Comfortable working on the production floor.
• Familiarity with production tools (training provided).
• Interest in long-term growth within the quality field.

Work Environment

The Quality Technician works in a fast-paced, highly collaborative production-floor environment. The role is hands-on, involving diagnosing issues, supporting operators, and ensuring quality standards are met. This busy and structured environment requires problem-solving skills and offers solid training and growth potential. The position may involve roles on both first and second shifts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Dubuque, IA.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Dubuque,IA.
