CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are currently looking to hire experienced CNC machinists to work out of Eldridge, IA on all shifts! This company specializes in precision steel manufacturing and works with very unique products, serving primarily military and government entities all across the globe. Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machine centers to produce machined parts; may operate more than one unit simultaneously.
• Set up equipment and fixtures for other operators using drawings and specification sheets.
• Diagnose problems and make necessary adjustments.
• Select tooling, set up, adjust, and manually program short runs/special jobs.
• Perform progressive machining operations and maintain quality and safety standards.
• Conduct self-inspection of parts to ensure specifications are met.
• Adhere to quality assurance standards and document actions in production and quality logs.
• Maintain and repair machines and equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and call for repairs as needed.

Essential Skills

• At least 5+ years of recent CNC machining
• Must be able to understand and edit programs as needed.
  • Full CNC programming experience not required but is always a plus.
• Broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with Mazak, Mori Seiki, Brother, Okuma, Tsugami, G-codes, M-codes, lathes, and mills.
• Ability to use measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges, height stands) accurately.
• Familiarity with machine calibrations and console settings.
• Experience with tolerances (+/- .003) and ability to make exact tolerances.

Additional Information

• Shift hours -
  • 1st: 7a - 3:30p, Monday - Friday.
  • 2nd: 3pm - 11pm, Monday - Friday.
  • 3rd: 11pm - 7am, Sunday - Thursday.
• Pay dependent on experience AND includes a $3/hr shift premium on third shift!
• Weekly pay cycle + full benefits offered (medical/dental/vision)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eldridge, IA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Eldridge,IA.
