Job Title: Engineering Technician

We are seeking an Engineering Technician to build and set up testing for prototype refrigerators. The role involves sourcing prototype parts from local suppliers, managing inventory of parts in the shop, and documenting the build process on new products. You will also pull information and tasks from engineers to stay productive daily.

• Build and test prototype refrigerators according to specifications.
• Source and manage inventory of prototype parts from local suppliers.
• Document the build process for new products accurately.
• Collaborate with engineers and pull tasks to ensure productivity.

• 2+ years' experience designing and setting up units for testing in a lab.
• Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication, basic electrical, and woodworking skills.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

• Experience in controls engineering is preferred.
• Experience in brazing copper tubing is preferred.

The position involves working in a prototype lab alongside the engineering team, with 75% of the time on the shop floor and 25% at a desk. The work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a flexible start time. The role requires reporting to and assisting the engineers on the team.

This is a Contract position based out of Hiawatha, Iowa.
