Job Title: Controls Engineer


Job Description

This position focuses on collaborating closely with customers to assess their control system requirements, develop tailored control system designs, and support on-site commissioning. The role is hands-on and involves programming automation solutions—primarily for AC and DC motor control—within water and wastewater treatment facilities.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to understand operational needs and technical requirements.
  • Design and implement control systems that meet project specifications.
  • Develop and test automation programs for motor control applications.
  • Provide on-site commissioning and support to ensure successful system deployment.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience with programming from scratch.
  • Proficiency in automation, PLC programming, and systems engineering.
  • Experience with control systems and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with HMI systems such as FactoryTalk or Wonderware.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience with arc flash analysis, Python, or C programming.
  • Experience with FactoryTalk, Wonderware, LabView, or IFix is a nice to have.
  • Experience with Siemens systems, certification preferred.
  • Self-starter with an ability to work autonomously.
