Job Title: Machine OperatorJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will inspect and prepare reels, boxes, and pallets for production operations, ensuring a clean and organized work environment. You will also perform sanitation on equipment and infrastructure, maintain accurate records, and adhere to safety and food safety policies.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and prepare reels, boxes, and pallets for production operations.
  • Perform sanitation on equipment, infrastructure, and production areas.
  • Record and maintain accurate written and electronic information.
  • Understand and follow safety, GMP, and food safety rules or policies.
  • Inspect infrastructure and equipment, notifying management when maintenance is required.
  • Move and transport products and materials as needed for various departments.
  • Conduct positive interactions with other departments.
  • Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards.
  • Open bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Box, wrap, and pack products according to procedures and standards.
  • Record all damaged items received.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
  • Stack finished goods on pallets and use machines to wrap finished pallets.
  • Perform required inspections of finished products.
  • Complete employee and vendor interactions with respect and integrity.
  • Use ERP systems daily to move product/materials.
  • Train other employees based on acquired knowledge.
  • Support and follow company values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • 6+ months experience as a Machine Operator.
  • Proficiency in warehouse operations, packaging, loading, and unloading.
  • Experience with forklift and machine operations.
  • Knowledge of Cleanroom and manufacturing environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Experience with inventory, data entry, and computer skills.

Work Environment

The facility is a food-grade company with strict GMP guidelines, located in Marion. Employees are provided with uniforms, including shoes, and must adhere to specific dress codes. The environment is very clean and air-conditioned, maintaining a comfortable temperature year-round. Work hours are structured in three shifts: 1st (6 AM - 2 PM), 2nd (2 PM - 10 PM), and 3rd (10 PM - 6 AM), Monday through Friday. Employees benefit from paid breaks, with additional breaks for extended hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marion, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
