Production Operations Technician
Position Overview
The Production Operations Technician plays a key role in coordinating the assembly, testing, painting, packaging, and shipping of products within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This position involves hands-on work across multiple production areas, including manual and automated equipment operation, machine setup, product testing, and station rotation. Technicians support consistent workflow, meet customer demand, and ensure high-quality output while using tools such as pneumatic wrenches, drills, and torque guns.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate parts flow and production activities across assembly, testing, painting, packaging, and shipping.
- Assemble components and operate both manual and automatic production equipment.
- Set up machines and perform testing on unit assemblies and subassemblies.
- Dismantle assemblies and workstations following established work process instructions.
- Rotate through all stations within assigned assembly cells to support production demands.
- Repair final assemblies and troubleshoot complex subassemblies as needed.
Essential Skills
- 6 months of production experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 6 months of assembly-related experience.
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions accurately and consistently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of production, assembly, or automotive processes.
- Experience using pneumatic tools such as drills, torque guns, and wrenches.

Work Environment
- Large-scale facility with 270–290 production employees across 13–14 assembly lines.
- Work involves handling hydraulic components and lubrication oils.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Marshalltown, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.70/hr.
