Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Software Test Engineer where you will play a crucial role in testing embedded systems at both the software/hardware integration level and the machine subsystem/system level. You will be responsible for interpreting software and system requirements, documenting test plans, creating both manual and automated test cases, executing tests, and recording results. Your efforts will support debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving field issues while collaborating with software, mechanical, hydraulic, hardware, and QA teams to ensure the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Test embedded systems at the SW/HW integration level and the machine subsystem/system level.
- Interpret software and system requirements to document test plans.
- Create manual and automated test cases and execute them, while recording results.
- Perform regression, integration, and system-level testing.
- Support debugging, troubleshooting, and field issue resolution.
- Collaborate with various teams including software, mechanical, hydraulic, hardware, and QA.
- Contribute to Program Increment (PI) planning and provide test estimations.
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and reviews.
Essential Skills
- Experience testing embedded software on machines, equipment, or vehicles at the SW/HW integration level or the machine/vehicle subsystem/system level.
- Ability to read and interpret system and software requirements to develop test plans and test cases.
- Experience executing software test cases, recording results, analyzing data logs, and assisting in root cause analysis of failures.
- Understanding of common software verification and validation concepts including functional, performance, and regression testing.
- Experience using common test and measurement tools such as Oscilloscope, Function Generator, Load Box, AC/DC power supply, DMM, communication data loggers.
- Experience with CAN communication.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in test automation tools and scripting languages such as Python, MATLAB.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Agriculture Engineering, or related field.
- Familiarity with agile methodology.
- Experience in the off-highway heavy machinery, automotive, or industrial control industry.

This position requires 100% onsite work, providing an opportunity to engage directly with advanced technologies and equipment.
