Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with factory stakeholders to identify and manage engineering projects related to capital budgets, ensuring the smooth execution of these projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with factory stakeholders to identify engineering project needs related to capital budgets.
• Develop specifications for new equipment.
• Prepare bid packages for contractors and vendors to review and bid on.
• Provide cost estimates for specific projects.
• Oversee project execution with contractors installing equipment.

Essential Skills

• Project engineering experience in food manufacturing facilities.
• Understanding of food and hygiene requirements.
• Ability to manage a variety of projects, including installing structural steel safety rails and new process equipment, as well as coordinating downtime.
• Strong communication skills to interact with management and shop floor employees.
• 5 years of project engineering experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience within a food manufacturing environment preferred
• Engineering degree preferred, but not required.
