Production Operator – Day Shift (Food Manufacturing)

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Production Operator to run a high‑volume production line in our food manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be fully trained to operate the entire line—from dough mixing to tortilla packaging—playing a key part in meeting production, quality, and safety goals. This position includes a tier‑based structure (T1, T2, T3) with increasing responsibility and rewards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a production line safely, efficiently, and consistently
  • Run all stages of the line, including dough mixing, pressing, baking, cooling, and packaging
  • Monitor and maintain production line performance
  • Ensure products meet strict quality and food safety standards
  • Follow instructions accurately and work independently while contributing to a team
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area

Essential Skills & Abilities

  • Strong work ethic, dependability, and punctuality
  • Ability to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and plan solutions
  • Experience in food manufacturing or similar production environments
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to operate and work around manufacturing equipment
  • Good hand‑eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work quickly and accurately
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills

  • Commitment to maintaining excellent product quality
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Previous experience in high‑volume production or food processing environments

Work Environment

  • Premier SQF‑certified manufacturing facility located in Caldwell, Idaho
  • Specializes in heat‑pressed, hand‑stretched flour and corn tortillas
  • Produces approximately 5 million tortillas per day
  • Employs over 300 full‑time team members
  • Serves customers across the U.S. and internationally
  • Uses high‑quality ingredients, proven formulations, and advanced manufacturing and freezing processes

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Caldwell, ID.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
