Job Title: Production Assembler - CablesJob Description

Join our dynamic cable and harness assembly team as a Production Assembler. This role focuses on the assembly of electromechanical components, with a long-term commitment to the Interconnect department. Experience in electronics is beneficial, but the primary focus will remain in cable and harness assembly.

Responsibilities
  • Function effectively as a participating team member.
  • Perform hand soldering of wires to electrical connectors and PCBs.
  • Assemble electromechanical assemblies as required.
  • Review and complete necessary production documentation.
  • Update job status in ABAS Systems as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly work area.
  • Perform related duties as required.
Essential Skills
  • Accurate visual acuity for color and depth perception.
  • Vision sufficient to measure accurately in fractions of an inch.
  • Manual dexterity for handling small hand tools, including a soldering iron.
  • Ability to read and understand moderately complex assembly instructions.
  • Comprehend written and verbal assignments.
  • Ability to work as a team member in a diverse work environment.
  • Advanced soldering and repair/rework skills.
  • Ability to use solder extractor tools.
  • Basic computer skills with accurate data entry.
  • Good math skills with the ability to count and measure.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in hand soldering various types, including solder cups, J-Hook, and through-hole.
  • Proficient in most OJT processes in at least two production areas.
  • Successful completion of OJT crimp training.
  • Successful completion of ESD and solder training, if required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Work Environment

Work in a clean electronics manufacturing facility where each employee has their own workstation to complete assembly tasks. The production floor requires wearing a smock and shoe straps. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. The production environment is moderately noisy, and employees must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Sensory requirements include vision, speech, hearing, smell, and touch.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Meridian, ID.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr.
