Assembler | Electro-Mechanical

1st Shift

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assembler, where you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including inspection, documentation, testing, quality control, quality assurance, and functional testing. You will work with blueprints, diagrams, screws, and hand tools to ensure high-quality assembly in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of electro-mechanical assembly experience. Responsibilities

  • Perform functional and acceptance testing on final products and complete functional testing data sheets.
  • Use hand measurement gauges and test equipment to ensure product compliance.
  • Record first-pass yield information and comment measurements on inspection sheets and database.
  • Report any quality or safety issues to the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Conduct light assembly and repairs as required.
  • Meet production standards and complete work in a timely manner.
  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine components parts and assembly sequences ensuring units are in compliance.
  • Follow procedures for product assembly, fabrication, testing, and inspection of operations products.
  • Inspect manufactured or processed products to ensure compliance with contract specifications and safety requirements.

Essential Skills

  • Mechanical and electrical assembly skills.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, soldering, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience with multi-meters, micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and gauges.
  • Strong documentation skills and the ability to write in English.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Willingness to work 10-15 hours of overtime.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • QC experience in an aerospace environment is a plus.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 regulations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, about 10-20% of the day.

Work Environment

The work environment is exceptionally clean and adheres to a strict set of ISO 9001 regulations. You will be a part of an assembly department consisting of seven people and will spend the majority of the day standing. Working hours are from 6AM to 3:30PM, with some shifts starting at 5AM and occasional Saturday work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Addison, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
