Job Title: Survey Technician


Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Survey Technician to conduct construction staking, topographic boundary, and ALTA surveys. You will oversee a two-person crew, providing on-the-job training and conducting daily site visits while organizing and maintaining survey job files. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff to support project objectives and address survey-related challenges, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct construction staking, topographic boundary, and ALTA surveys.
  • Oversee and train a two-person crew.
  • Perform daily site visits.
  • Organize and maintain survey job files.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2+ years of land surveying experience.
  • Proficiency in construction staking, ALTA, boundary, and construction staking surveys.
  • Proficiency in GPS, Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to become a crew chief within 1-2 years.
  • Experience working with total stations, Trimble GPS, Topcon, Leica, and Carlson software.
  • Knowledge in boundary survey software and utility locating.
