CNC Swiss Operator

Job Title: CNC Swiss Operator 2nd Shift 2PM-12:30AM

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Swiss Operator to join our team. The primary role involves operating and maintaining CNC single turret lathes to produce high-quality parts according to blueprint specifications. This position requires a strong attention to detail, ability to read and interpret drawings, and a thorough understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). The ideal candidate will prioritize safety and precision in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate single turret CNC Lathe Machines with Live Tooling capabilities.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, pin gages, bore gages, and plug gages.
• Manually deburr parts during the machining process.
• Make offsets to tooling under Fanuc controls.
• Identify and resolve machining issues such as tool wear to maintain customer-required dimensions.
• Accurately record production data, including quantities and quality inspections.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure the workspace is cleaned and organized.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with CNC, SWISS, Lathe, and Blueprint machine operation.
• Knowledge of Hardinge and Nakamura CNC machines.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
