Job Title: Mechanical Machine Builder

Job Description:

Join our team as a Mechanical (or electrical) Machine Builder, where you will have the opportunity to assemble custom automation equipment from mechanical drawings and schematics. This role involves mechanical assembly, integration of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and collaboration with electrical and controls teams to ensure machines are built to specification.

Shift: 6:00am-4:00pm M-F (rougly 50-55hrs per week)

Pay: pay is based off relating skills, paying up to $35hr starting (x1.5 for OT)

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and assembly drawings.
• Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies for automation systems.
• Install pneumatic and hydraulic components.
• Align and fit parts according to specifications using hand and power tools.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
• Perform quality checks to ensure systems meet design specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills:

• 3+ years of experience building industrial machinery.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams.
• Experience with drilling and tapping.
• Strong assembly skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with drill press, troubleshooting, machining, and fabricating.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to use power tools effectively.

Work Environment

The role is hands-on, requiring you to work on the production floor most of the time. Machinery is built in-house, and then installed at client sites.

Job Type and Location

This is a full-time position based out of Buffalo Grove, Illinois.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
