Welder – First Shift
Custom Fabrication | Steady Daytime Schedule
We’re hiring a Welder to support custom fabrication projects in a job shop environment. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, set up their own equipment, and takes pride in producing clean, accurate welds.
What You’ll Do
- MIG weld mild steel, sheet metal, and heavier materials as needed
- Weld parts to blueprints and work orders
- Set up welding equipment and select proper wire and settings
- Fit and align parts prior to welding
- Inspect finished welds and complete quality documentation
- Use basic shop math and hand tools
- Maintain a safe, organized work area
Some roles may include heavy plate welding to AWS D1.1 standards or Welder/Fitter responsibilities with training provided.
What We’re Looking For
- MIG welding experience in a fabrication or job shop setting
- Ability to read welding blueprints
- Fit‑up and measurement skills
- Comfortable setting up and inspecting your own work
- Strong attention to quality and safety
Preferred: TIG or stick welding, AWS D1.1 experience, sheet metal fabrication
Schedule
- Monday–Friday | 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Occasional overtime, typically ending by 4:30 p.m.
