Job Title: Stationary Engineer
Job Description
As a Stationary Engineer, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of boilers, compressors, chillers, and HVAC systems. You will assist in the installation of packaging and production equipment, including both vertical and horizontal packaging machinery. Your role will involve utilizing the CMMS system to order parts, track work orders, and complete orders. You will also make necessary adjustments to equipment to maintain steam quality and maximize efficiency. Reporting accidents or hazardous incidents promptly and preparing the plant for maintenance using LOTO and SWP procedures are also key aspects of this role.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain boilers, compressors, chillers, and HVAC systems.
- Assist in the installation of packaging and production equipment.
- Utilize CMMS system for ordering parts and tracking work orders.
- Adjust equipment to maintain steam quality and efficiency.
- Report accidents or hazardous incidents immediately.
- Prepare the plant for maintenance using LOTO and SWP procedures.
Essential Skills
- 4 plus years of stationary engineering experience in manufacturing or large commercial settings.
- City of Chicago Stationary License.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with HVAC, boiler maintenance, and plumbing.
- Knowledge of mechanical and maintenance repair.
- Familiarity with compressors, preventive maintenance, and plant engineering.
- Experience with electrical, steam testing, and water testing.
