Job Title: Machine Builder/Control Panel Builder

Job Description

In this role, you will work closely with project teams and skilled panel shop staff to assemble high-quality UL508A control panels, server cabinets, and test stands. You will also be part of a team for custom work, requiring strong problem-solving skills and adaptability as every day will present new challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Use drawings to build electrical equipment.
  • Assemble mechanical units and wire devices according to plans.
  • Use hand tools, wire cutters, strippers, and other equipment as needed.
  • Adhere to all company and regulatory safety policies.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in machine building.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong wiring skills, including wire termination and panel building.
  • Mechanical assembly skills.
  • Comfort using basic hand tools.
  • Willingness to learn and ability to be trained.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Effective communication with co-workers and others.
  • Ability to work on feet for long periods of time.
  • Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.

Work Environment

Work in a smaller, climate-controlled, organized, and clean shop throughout the facility. The role follows a 1st shift schedule from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
