Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Lab Technician where you will play a crucial role in verifying the quality of incoming raw materials and outgoing products using established methods. You will prepare laboratory reagents, manage retain samples, enter test data into SAP or LIMS systems, and maintain vendor certifications and inspections.
Responsibilities
- Verify the quality of incoming raw materials and outgoing products using established methods.
- Prepare laboratory reagents and file retain samples in appropriate holding areas.
- Enter test data into SAP or LIMS systems and file vendor certifications, raw materials, and production inspections.
- Participate in general housekeeping, including routine cleaning and maintenance.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Essential Skills
- 0-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry preferred; Biology, Physics, or related fields will be considered.
- Proficiency in chemistry, laboratory techniques, and quality assurance.
- Skills in wet chemistry, titration, pH, FTIR, and viscosity measurement.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with quality control processes.
- Familiarity with SAP or LIMS systems.
- Strong organizational and data management skills.
Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 10 PM to 6:30 AM. The role involves working in an industrial chemical and water treatment setting, providing opportunities for growth and the chance to be part of a company known for its expertise, reliability, and commitment to safe and efficient operations.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
