Structural Engineer

A national firm that specializes in parking consulting, design, planning and restoration is looking to add a Structural Engineer to their team!

Job Description:

• Will be reporting to the Senior PM and Principal on projects
• Collaborate with geotechnical, architectural and MEP project members to complete projects
• Develop structural design calculations, structural analysis/research, specifications and structural drawings
• Apply ACI, AISC and IBC building codes, PCI & PTI Design Guidelines to the design of foundations, superstructures, and related building components
• May assist with site visits with reviewing testing/inspection/field reports
• Will be working with Senior Structural Engineer to provide structural research/analysis reports

Qualifications:

• Bachelors is required
• Must have EIT and on track towards PE; SE is a plus
• 2+ years of post-grad structural experience
• Experience working on parking structures is preferred; commercial, healthcare, industrial, utilities is transferrable
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD knowledge is required
• Knowledge of ACI, AISC and IBC building codes, PCI & PTI Design Guidelines
• Experience/knowledge of the structural design of concrete including precast, conventional and post-tensioned cast-in-place, structural steel and masonry
• Experience with wind/seismic analysis, spread footing and deep and shallow retention walls

This is a Permanent position based out of Chicago, IL.

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
