Job Title: Assembly Worker
Job Description
Join our team as an Assembly Worker in an industrial manufacturing environment where you'll utilize various hand tools, power tools, and small machinery. You'll work collaboratively to assemble products according to Standard Work Documentation, Manufacturing Instructions, and Quality Plans in a team setting. This role may involve electrical assembly and soldering, testing bearings, and assembling actuators for various clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform assembly tasks using hand tools, power tools, and small machinery.
- Assemble products following Standard Work Documentation and Manufacturing Instructions.
- Conduct electrical assembly and soldering as required.
- Test bearings by running them through thread rolls.
- Assemble actuators for clients such as Bobcat and Mercury Marine.
- Handle and lift products weighing up to 30 pounds.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Experience in mechanical assembly.
- Ability to follow step-by-step instructions.
- Mechanically inclined with a good work ethic.
- Reliable with a strong attendance record.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred but not required.
- Experience with soldering and using a tape measure is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, temperature-controlled, and well-lit environment with about 2-3 people per cell. First shift operates from 7 am to 3:30 pm with 2 openings, while the second shift runs from 3:30 pm to 12 am with 7 openings. Training for new candidates occurs on the first shift for two weeks, and all candidates start on Mondays.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Crystal Lake, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
