Construction Project Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee demolition projects and the removal of old facility equipment within a fast-paced chemical manufacturing plant. This role requires a proactive individual who can organize teams, ensure timely project completion, and prioritize safety standards.

• Handle demolition projects and manage the removal of old facility equipment.
• Organize and coordinate project teams to ensure efficient workflow.
• Ensure all projects are completed on time and adhere to safety protocols.
• Hold contractors accountable to safety and project standards, particularly in a heavy industrial setting.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors effectively.
• Utilize planning and scheduling skills to ensure project success.

• Experience in heavy industry environments such as chemical manufacturing or heavy industrial sectors.
• Proven project management experience, including managing and coordinating subcontractors.
• Strong planning and scheduling skills.
• Familiarity with safety standards and the ability to ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.

• Experience within a chemical environment is a plus.
• Experience with demolition projects is advantageous.
• Proficiency with planning software such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
• Understanding of CAD drawings.
• Experience managing projects ranging from $100k to $500k.

This position requires 100% on-site presence in a unique and fast-paced chemical manufacturing plant. The work schedule consists of four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday. The environment promotes independence, with a hands-off management approach, allowing you to run your projects while prioritizing safety. The role involves working with both digital and hard copy files, including Excel and CAD files.

This is a Contract position based out of Decatur, IL.

The pay range for this position is $62.00 - $95.00/hr.
