Job Title: Controls Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Siemens Controls Engineer to support a high-priority automation project. This role involves an immediate start and is a 9+ month engagement with the potential for expansion. The project focuses on Siemens TIA Portal for PLC and HMI development, utilizing Profisafe and Profinet for safety and industrial communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and test Siemens-based control systems using TIA Portal.
• Integrate and validate Profisafe and Profinet networks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and safety.
• Participate in field commissioning, which may involve 1–2 months of travel later in the project.
• Document code, configurations, and system changes for traceability.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal for programming Siemens PLCs and HMIs.
• Experience with Profisafe and Profinet for reliable and secure system integration.
• Strong programming skills with experience in structured text or ladder logic in Siemens environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with WinCC Runtime for HMI development is preferred.
• Knowledge of Siemens ProDiag for diagnostics is advantageous.
• Familiarity with PLCSIM simulation tool is a plus.
• Willingness to travel for field commissioning (1–2 months).
