Job Description

The Facilities and Grounds / Lubrication Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our facility and grounds. This includes performing preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our metal manufacturing equipment and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the facility, including HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Maintain the exterior grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, and general upkeep to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Identify and address potential hazards promptly.
• Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment. Order and replenish supplies as needed.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. Report any issues or concerns to the Facilities Manager.
• Work closely with the production team to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting operations. Assist with emergency repairs as needed.

Essential Skills

• At least one year of proven experience in facility maintenance and groundskeeping, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with metal manufacturing equipment and preventative maintenance techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dekalb, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Dekalb,IL.
