We are seeking a skilled Mold Maker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and assembling complete molds using both manual and CNC machining, as well as EDM techniques. You will diagnose and correct mold issues, perform full repairs, and have a thorough understanding of mold steels, heat treatment, and coatings. Your expertise in utilizing complex 2D and 3D blueprints to assemble, disassemble, and create molds will be crucial to your success in this role.
Responsibilities- Build and assemble complete molds using manual and CNC machining, as well as EDM techniques.
- Diagnose and correct mold issues and perform full repairs.
- Utilize complex 2D and 3D blueprints to assemble, disassemble, and create molds.
- Understand mold steels, heat treatments, and coatings.
- Conduct troubleshooting and maintenance on molds.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks regularly.
- Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, and plastic components.
- Conduct inspections and ensure quality control.
- Troubleshoot electrical, HVAC, and PLC systems.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintenance techniques.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and plastics.
- Ability to read and interpret complex 2D and 3D blueprints.
- Strong skills in machining (manual, CNC, EDM).
- Experience in electrical, HVAC, and PLC troubleshooting.
- Comfortable with performing consistent preventive maintenance tasks.

Work EnvironmentWork in a clean injection molding facility with both medical clean room and automotive areas. This is a 1st shift position with working hours from 6:00am to 4:00pm.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Elgin, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $68640.00/yr.
