Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
Join our team as a Machine Operator, where you will work on the production floor operating automated assembly machinery. This role involves entering dimensions into the Human-Machine Interface (HMI), troubleshooting, and robotic operating in a fast-paced assembly environment.
Shifts available:
2nd Shift: $21
3rd SHift: $23
Responsibilities
- Operate automated assembly machinery efficiently.
- Enter dimensions accurately into the HMI.
- Troubleshoot machinery issues as they arise.
- Operate robots within the assembly process.
- Engage in various assembly tasks including kitting, cable assembly, crimping, production assembly, machine operating, wire harness assembly, soldering, wiring, and electrical assembly.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Utilize power tools effectively.
Essential Skills
- Experience as a machine operator in a cleanroom environment.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and electrical assembly.
- Capability to use power tools and perform soldering.
- Competence in operating machinery and robotics in a fast-paced setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of wire harness assembly and kitting.
- Experience with crimping and cable assembly.

Work Environment
The work environment is a clean, lean manufacturing setting. The facility is split into two departments, with this role located in the Harting Cable Solutions (HCS) department. The environment is clean, climate-controlled, well-lit, and organized. Each employee is assigned their own station or rotates between stations.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
