Job Title: Grinder Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Grinder Operator to perform precision grinding of component pieces in accordance with blueprints and drawings. This role offers opportunities for overtime and requires a commitment to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines following setup and verification by a supervisor.
• Verify tolerances by inspecting the first five pieces and submit them for final inspection.
• Report any variances to the supervisor.
• Continue running the job in accordance with blueprint or drawing specifications once pieces pass inspection.
• Deliver completed orders to the shipping department.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations.
• Use all required and instructed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of machine operating experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in production and general labor tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate and follow written and verbal directions in English.
• Attention to detail and ability to accurately count parts.
• Capability to operate material handling machinery.
• Initiative and proactive work ethic.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincolnshire, IL.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
