Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage and oversee our accounts receivable functions. This role is integral to ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, payment processing, and resolution of past due payments.
Responsibilities
- Post payments received daily to the appropriate customer account.
- Process completed delivery notes for invoicing in SAP and submit completed invoices to customers via their preferred delivery method.
- Collaborate with customers and internal departments such as Sales, Quality, Shipping, and Customer Service to resolve past due payments and maintain AR-related KPIs.
- Prepare and update the AR Aging report weekly by customer and present it to the Accounting Supervisor and CFO for review and discussion.
- Prepare and process credit/debit notes in SAP to resolve pricing, quality, quantity, and other invoice issues and communicate these to the customer.
- Prepare monthly statements and email them to customers for review for completeness.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably with accounts receivable.
- Proficiency with SAP (or related system) and Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Several years of SAP experience.
- Experience in the manufacturing or heavy machinery industry.
- Experience managing other aspects within accounting.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and responsiveness.
- Ownership of workload, demonstrated by not leaving with unresolved tasks.
- Willingness to support teammates and contribute to team culture.
The position is 100% onsite, Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with flexibility for early start or finish up to 60 minutes. The work environment is modern and professional, with a large office staff and multiple departments. Key internal relationships include Customer Service, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Operations. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loves Park, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
